So, you just finished your crochet project and want to give it a finished look? Crochet borders will surely help you with this! There are thousands of crochet edgings that you can find on the Internet, but in this post I’ve collected the most popular and easy crochet borders.
I often use them in my works such as: a leaf tunic – crochet edging #5, a granny square halter top, crochet shorts and casual crochet top (without picots)- crochet border #1, etc.
You can also adapt them for working in the round – you’ll need to join the beginning and the end of the round with a slip stitch. Unfortunately I don’t know the names of these borders. If somebody know them feel free to help me out here and share in comments! :)

1. Light Pink Crochet Border
Number of stitches: multiple of 6 +1
Row 1: foundation dc (36 dc)
Row 2: row of sc
Row 3: ch-1, sc in same space, * skip 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc, picot, 3 dc in same st, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row
2. Yellow Crochet Edging
Number of stitches: multiple of 8 +1
Row 1: foundation dc (32 dc)
Row 2: row of sc
Row 3: ch-1, sc i same space, * ch-2, skip 3 sc, dc3tog in next sc, picot, ch-1, dc3tog in same sc, picot, ch-1, dc3tog in same sc, picot, ch-2, skip 3 sc, sc in next sc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row
3. Coral Crochet Border
Number of stitches: multiple of 5 +1
Row 1: foundation dc (36 dc)
Row 2: row of sc
Row 3: ch-3, skip 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc, ch-2, 2 dc in same sc * skip 4 sc, 2 dc in next sc, ch-2, 2 dc in same sc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row, finish with dc in the last st
4. Blue Crochet Border
Number of stitches: multiple of 4
Row 1: foundation dc (36 dc)
Row 2: row of sc
Row 3: ch-1, sc in same space, * ch-3, 3 dc into the 1st (2nd, 3rd…) sc, skip 3 sc, sc in next sc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row
5. Pink Crochet Edging
Number of stitches: multiple of 4
Row 1: foundation dc (36 dc)
Row 2: row of sc
Row 3: ch-1, sc in same space, * ch-4, puff st in next sc, ch-1, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row

After looking at many different crochet borders for a filet crochet window hanging, I finally stumbled upon this site. The Blue Crochet Border was absolutely perfect for my project. It tied everything together without distracting from the main pattern.
#1is cathedral stitch
I’m thinking of using the blue border on my current blanket but I’m not sure how to do a corner. I checked your youtube comments hoping to find more information but only found someone asking the some question with no answer. :(
Just follow the pattern on your corners but decrease the number of stitches between 2 “triangles”
