You won’t need lots of yarn for this cute crochet hat and purse. Just some leftover yarn, few beads, a day of your time and you will get a nice gift for a little girl. Or you can change the color of the thread to blue or grey for a boy.

Materials:

Yarn: use any fingering yarn

Crochet Hook: 2,5 mm

Size: 2 years old

The Hat

ch-4, join with sl st to first ch

Round 1: ch-3, 11 dc in the ring, join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 2: ch-3, dc in same space, 2 dc in each dc around, join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 3: ch-3, * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc **, repeat from * to ** around,  join with sl st to top of ch-3 (36 dc)

Round 4: ch-3, dc in next dc, * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc ** repeat from * to ** around,  join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 5: ch-3, dc in next 2 dc * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc ** repeat from * to ** around,  join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 6: ch-3, dc in next 3 dc * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc ** repeat from * to ** around,  join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 7: ch-3, dc in next 4 dc * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc ** repeat from * to ** around,  join with sl st to top of ch-3

Repeat Round 7 as many times as you need

The left and right parts of the hat make this way:

Row 1-10: make 10 dc across, ch-1, turn

Row 11: sl st in next dc, dc in next 8 dc, ch-1, turn

Row 12: sl st in next dc, dc in next 7 dc, ch-1, turn

Row 13: sl st in next dc, dc in next 6 dc, ch-1, turn

Row 14: sl st in next dc, dc in next 5 dc, ch-1, turn

Row 15: sl st in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, ch-1, turn

Row 16: sl st in next dc, dc in next 3 dc

Make a row of sc around the bottom part of the hat

Ears (4)

Front circles – pink middle (2 rounds)

ch-4, join with sl st to first ch

Sew 2 circles this way – pink middle circle + grey circle

Eyes (2 white + 2 black)

3 rounds of the pattern – white

First round of the pattern – black

Nose

3 rounds of the pattern.

Pull the thread through the 3rd round and pull it tight

The Flower

Row 1: make 2 dc in each ch across,turn

Row 2: * skip 2 dc, 7 dc in next dc **, repeat from * to ** across

The Stripe

Chain as many stitches as you need. Make * 3 dc in next ch, skip 1 ch **, repeat from * to ** across, turn, make 3 dc in each skipped ch

Sew 2 circles together (pink – front part, the pink middle – back part) and leave the hole on the top.

The cover circle: * 5dc in next dc, skip 2 dc **, repeat from * to ** around

Sew the cover, the flower, the stripe and beads on the purse
