CROCHET FLARE SLEEVE SWEATER PATTERN

Hi girls! Today I will show you how to work with this yarn. It looks a bit complicated, but don’t worry, it’s not. We will use relief stitches to make two sides sweater. And you’ll need for it just five skeins of yarn. The list of the recommended yarn is HERE:

Rico Baby Teddy Aran

King Cole Cuddles Chunky

Rico Baby Teddy Aran

King Cole Cuddles DK

MATERIALS:

Alize Baby Softy

Yarn 5 skeins:

Weight: Aran (8 wpi)

Yardage: 126 yards(115 meters)

Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces)

Hook size: 5.0 mm (G)

Fibers: 100% Manufactured Fibers – Polyester

Texture: Fancy yarn

Stitches Used: ch-chain, sl st-slip stitch, sc-single crochet, tc-triple crochet, fptc-front post triple crochet

Gauge: 16.0 sts = 4 inches

Size: S-M

PATTERN:

Row 1: make 63 chains, tc in the 3rd ch from the hook, tc in each ch to the end of the row, join with sl st to the 1 st st (61 sts)

Start working in rounds.

Round 2: ch-3, fptc in each st to the end of the round, join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 3: ch-3, 2 fptc in each st to the end of the round, join with sl st to top of ch-3 (121 sts)

Round 4: repeat Round 2 8 times (size S,M) or repeat until you reach this result.

*Round 5: ONLY FOR SIZE L ch-3, * 2 fptc in next st, fptc in next st ** rep from * to **  to the end of the round, join with sl st to top of ch-3 (181 sts)

*Round 5: ONLY FOR WIDER SIZES repeat Round 3 (241 sts)

Measure your arm and mark the places for the sleeves. I divided the number of stitches this way: 25 sts are going to each sleeve, 70 sts are going to the back and the front parts.

Round 12: ch-3, fptc in next 35 sts, skip next 25 sts, fptc in next 35 sts, skip next 25 sts, join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 13: ch-3, fptc in each st to the end of the round, join with sl st to top of ch-3

Rep Round 13 20 times or as many times as you need

The last round of the body part and the last round of the sleeves make this way:

Round 34: sc in next st, ch-3, sc in same st, * sc in next 2 st, ch-3, sc in the same st **, rep from * to ** to the end of the round, join with sl st to the 1st sc

SLEEVES

Round 1-13: rep Round 2

Round 14: rep Round 3

Round 15-21: rep Round 2

Round 22: rep Round 34

Nice blouses. It seems like this yarn is “fuzzy”. I say this because I am unable to see individual stitches. Am I right? Also, you mention Three (3) types / brands of yarn. Could you please clairify?

Thank you :) You can use any “fuzzy” yarn or any yarn you like for this pattern. The pattern is very flexible and you will be able to change it to your size at the beginning. In other words, it doesn’t depend on yarn.

You start crocheting the sweater top-down. When you reach the 5th round you should divide your work on the body part and sleeves. Then crochet them separetaly.
