PATTERN:
Crochet an example of the main lace pattern and the border pattern. Only after that start your calculations.
Measure the fullest part of your chest. Divide the measurement by 2 – it’s your back part measurement. Then, divide the back part measurement by 2 and minus 2 cm or 1 in – it’s your front part measurement.
An example:
the fullest part of my chest 86 cm or 34 in, 86 cm (34 in) / 2 = 43 cm (17 in);
43 cm (17 in) – the front and the back parts.
43 cm (17 in) / 2 = 21,5 cm (8 1/2 in);
21,5 cm (8 1/2 in) – 3 cm (1 in) = 18,5 cm (7 1/2 in)
18,5 cm (7 1/2 in) – 2 halfs of the front part.
Count how many rapports in 18,5 cm (7 1/2 in) and in 43 cm (17 in) (use the example). I got 3 rapports in 18,5 cm (7 1/2 in) and 6 rapports in 43 cm (17 in).
3 rapports x 14 + 5 = 47 chains – each front part
6 rapports x 14 + 5 = 89 chains – back part
FRONT PART (2 details)
