Crochet an example of the flower, measure the fullest part of your chest and make as many flowers as you need according to your measurement.
FLOWER:
Round 1 (violet): make a magic ring, ch-2, 12 sc into the ring, join with sl st to the 1st st
Round 2 (yellow): connect the thread, ch-3, dc2tog in the same place, ch-2, * dc3tog in next sc, ch-2 **, rep from * to ** 10 times, join with sl st to the first st
Round 3 (green): connect the thread to ch-2 space, ch-3, 2 dc in same space, 3 dc in next ch-2 space, ch-2, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc in next 2 ch-2 spaces, 3 dc in next ch-2 space, ch-2, 3 dc in same space **, rep from * to ** twice, 3 dc in the last ch-2 space, join with sl st to top of ch-3
JOINING:
Rep Rounds 1-2, start joining the flowers while you crocheting the 3rd round this way:
connect the thread, ch-3, 2 dc in same ch-2 space of the 2nd flower, ch-1, sc in any corner of the 1st flower, 3 dc in same ch-2 space of the 2nd flower, (sc in next space between two 3 dc groups of sts of the 1st flower, 3 dc in next ch-2 space of the 2nd flower) rep twice, sc in corner of the 1st flower, ch-1, 3 dc in same ch-2 space of the 2nd flower,
finish the 3 round: * 3 dc in next 2 ch-2 spaces, 3 dc in next ch-2 space, ch-2, 3 dc in same space **, rep from * to ** twice, 3 dc in the last 2 ch-2 spaces, join with sl st to top of ch-3
I would like to show you how I join 3 corners. I hope it will help you to make the corners smoother:
connect the thread, ch-3, 2 dc in same ch-2 space of the 2nd flower, sc in next 2 corners (ch-2 spaces), then repeat the previous steps
connect the last 2 flowers to form a tube
Join 18 flowers in the circle (9 flowers in the row). If you want to make a top longer or wider make more rows of flowers.
BOTTOM:
Round 1: connect the thread to any space, ch-3, 2 dc in same space, 3 dc in each space between two 3 dc groups and 3 dc in the space between 2 squares skipping ch-2 spaces, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Round 2-3: sl st in next 2 dc, sl st in next space, ch-3, 2 dc in same space, 3 dc in each space to the end of the round, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Round 4: sl st in next 2 dc, * sc in next space, 5 dc in next space **, rep from * to ** the end of the round, join with sl st to the 1st sc
SHOULDERS STRAPS:
Repeat Rounds 1-3 across the upper part of the top. Mark the places for the shoulders straps and start crocheting:
Row 1: connect the thread to the marked space, ch-3, 2 dc in same space, dc in next 3 dc
Row 2: ch-3, turn, dc in next 5 dc
Rep Row 2 until you’ll reach the desired length. I crocheted 20 rows
Connect the shoulder strap to the back part by sl sts.
Make a row of shell stitches (round 4 of the bottom pattern) around the neckline and armholes.
