Hi everyone! Today I will show you how to crochet a lace scarf. Lace scarfs are my favorite because they are lightweight, warm, and very feminine. I used one of the crochet beanie pattern colors so I can wear them together.
MATERIALS:
YARN: DROPS Paris Recycled Denim /Aran/100% Cotton/82 yards / 50 grams (102)– 6 skeins
Crochet Hook: #5
Sizes: 150/33 cm
PATTERN:
Chain multiple of 9+14, 9×4=36+14=50 chains
Row 1: ch-50, sc in the 9th ch from the hook, ch-5, skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch, * ch-3, skip next 2 chs, 2 dc in next ch, ch-1, 2 dc in the same ch, ch-3, skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch, ch-5, skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row, at the end of the row ch-3, dc in the last ch
Row 2: ch-7, turn, sc in next ch-5 space, * ch-4, 2 dc in next ch-1 space, ch-1, 2 dc in the same space, ch-4, sc in next ch-5 space **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row, at the end of the row ch-4, dc in the last ch space
Row 3: ch-6, turn, sc in next ch-4 space, ch-5, sc in next ch-4 space, * ch-3, 2 dc in next ch-1 space, ch-1, 2 dc in the same space, ch-3, sc in next ch-4 space, ch-5, sc in next ch-4 space **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row, at the end of the row ch-3, dc in the last space
Repeat rows 2-3 until you reach the half-length of the scarf
Last row: ch-3, turn, 3 dc in the ch-3 space, ch-3, sc in next ch-5 space, * ch-3, 7 dc in next ch-1 space, ch-3, sc in next ch-5 space **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the last ch space, ch-3, 4 dc into the last space
Cut the yarn, turn your work and connect the yarn to the 1st ch, ch-5, * sc in next sc, ch-5, sc in next sc, ch-3, 2 dc in next dc, ch-1, 2 dc in same space, ch-3 **, rep from * to **, to the end of the row, at the end of the row ch-3, dc in the last space
Repeat rows 2-3 until you reach the half-length of the scarf, then repeat the last row pattern, don’t cut the yarn and start crocheting the border, ch-1, turn:
Border: sc in the 1st dc, picot, (sc in next dc, picot) repeat once, sc in next dc, ch-1, * sc in 1st dc of next shell, (sc in next dc, picot) repeat 4 times, sc in the last dc of the shell, ch-1 **, repeat from * to ** to the last 4 dc, sc in next dc, ( sc in next dc, picot) repeat 2 times, don’t cut the yarn, and start crocheting across the long side of the scarf:
