I discovered numerous stunning sequined tops, dresses, trousers, blazers, and more. Although I desired to purchase one, I struggled to find a high-quality option. Determined to achieve the look I wanted, I opted to crochet it myself. Utilizing leftover sequin yarn and a few skeins of sock yarn, I combined them to create the perfect Christmas ensemble. What’s noteworthy is that I can replicate this design in the summer using any cotton yarn, as I incorporated a pineapple pattern in the “ruffles part”. The choice of cotton yarn will accentuate and highlight the intricate beauty of the pineapple pattern.

PATTERN:
The front part with sequins.
NOTE: The top is crocheted in size M, designed to be worn under a shirt or turtleneck top, although the model typically wears size S. It is crafted from the top-down, comprising two halves: the front and the back. The front part will be adorned with sequins, while the back part will remain plain. It’s worth noting that the back part will be slightly smaller than the front part, which is intentional. This size variation accommodates the natural contour of the body, considering that the bust area may be fuller, especially for those with a bra size larger than D.
The number of chain stitches is a multiple of 3+4.
S – 28 chs, (M – 34 chs), L – 40 chs, XL – 46 chs, 2XL – 52 chs, 3XL – 58 chs, 4XL-5XL – 64 chs

Make a row of sc and a row of crab stitches around the upper part of the top.
STRAPS
With sequins: Foundation dc row – 94 stitches long and 3 dc rows width.
Without sequins: Foundation dc row – 106 stitches long and 3 dc rows + 1 hdc row width.
Sew them to the top.
This is a lovely top, but did I miss something? You say the back is smaller but all you say is crochet the back without sequins?????
The back is smaller because it’s crocheted without sequin yarn (only sock yarn), resulting in a thinner yarn thickness.
