Hi everyone! Today we will make this striped crochet beanie. I’ve tried to find a good man beanie crochet pattern but didn’t find any, and decided to design it in my own style. I had many requests to make something for men. So, now you have a good Christmas gift idea. Also, you can use this pattern for creating an infinity scarf, just crochet a foundation dc row a multiple of 12. And of course, you can use this pattern for women and kids beanies too, just pick your favorite colors and get started.
MATERIALS:
YARN: DROPS Paris Recycled Denim /Aran/100% Cotton/82 yards / 50 grams – 4 skeins (101,102,103,104)
Crochet Hook: #5
Sizes: S (56 cm/ 22”) – 60 dc, M (58 cm/ 23”) – 72 dc, L (61 cm/ 24”) – 84 dc
PATTERN:
Start with foundation dc – 60 dc, join with sl st to the 1st (color 1)
Round 1 (color 1): ch-3, * fpdc in next dc, bpdc in next dc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Round 2-5 (color 1): ch-3, * fpdc in next fpdc, bpdc in next bpdc **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Round 6 (color 1): ch-1, sc in the 1st st, sc in next 2 sts, puff st in next 6 sts, * sc in next 6 sts, puff st in next 6 sts **, rep from * to ** to the end of the round, sc in the last 3 st, join with sl st to the 1st sc
Round 7 (color 2): ch-2, puff st in the 1st sc, puff st in next 2 sc, sc in next 6 sts, * puff st in next 6 sc, sc in next 6 sts **, rep from * to ** to the end of the round, puff st in the last 3 sc, join with sl st to top of ch-2
Round 8 (color 3): rep Round 6
Round 9 (color 4): rep Round 7
Repeat Round s6-9 until you reach 12 puff stitch rounds. Don’t forget changing the color of the yarn every row.
When you reach 12 rounds, start decreasing stitches in sc part of each round this way:
