MATERIALS:

Yarn: Hobbii Friends 8/4, 100% Cotton 50 g (1.75 oz) / 160 m (175 yds), Super Fine – Pastel Green (col. 100), Turquoise (col. 94), Lilac (col. 63), Bubblegum (col. 38), Sunflower (col. 24), Nougat (col, 09), Beige (col. 05) – 110 grams, a bit more than 2 skeins.

Crochet Hook: 3 mm.

Stitches Used: ch(s) – chain(s), sc – single crochet, hdc – half double crochet, dc – double crochet, crab stitch.

Gauge: 19 dc x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in).

Size: width – 37 cm (14 1/2 in), length 25 cm (10 in).

NOTE: The pattern is written to measure and doesn’t include a size guide.

THE PATTERN IS WRITTEN USING AMERICAN ENGLISH CROCHET TERMS.

PATTERN:

1. Foundation Row:
   • Measure the fullest part of your chest.
   • Crochet a foundation double crochet (dc) row according to your measurement. For example, I crocheted 119 dc.
   • Join with a slip stitch (sl st) to the first stitch.
2. Round 1:
   • Chain 2 (does not count as a dc).
   • Double crochet (dc) in each dc to the end of the row.
   • Join with a slip stitch (sl st) to the first dc.
3. Repeating Rounds:
   • Repeat Round 1 until you reach the desired length. I crocheted 29 rounds.
4. Finishing:

Crochet a row of crab stitches (reverse single crochet) around the upper and lower edges of the top.

1. Creating the Gathered Effect:
   1. Skip 10 rows from the upper part of the top.
   2. Pull the yarn through these 10 rows, pull the yarn slightly to gather, and fasten it from the wrong side of the top.

Your easy crochet tube top is now complete! Enjoy your new handmade creation!
