Both the stars and trees are adorable! I hope to make a banner of alternating trees and stars before Christmas. Thank you!!
Round 1 should show a repeat of the (3 dc in the circle, ch-3) to be done 4 times, not 3, in order to create the 5-pointed star.
I’ve made one already and plan to make more – thank you for this design!
Hi Deborah
For the 5 pointed star you should make “ch-3, 2 dc in the circle”, then “(3 dc in the circle, ch-3)” and repeat “(3 dc in the circle, ch-3)” 3 times = 5. But you made everything right :)
Round 1: ch-3, 2 dc in the circle, ch-3, (3 dc in the circle, ch-3) repeat 3 times, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Thank you, this helped me. It was not coming out right for me either. This clarification made all the difference- 5 sets in the first round.
Tried to follow along on the star but you go way to fast. :(
Hi Kim! You can always change the speed of the video by clicking on Settings – Speed and make it slower.
Definitely appreciate the video but wish you slowed down and explained what you were doing! Thanks for the patterns! After lots of trial and error I’ve figured this and the Tree out and will be making them for Christmas :)
These are so perfect, quick and easy and adorable! Love the beaded ones in your pictures! how did you get the bead to lay so perfectly centered? What stitch did you place it on?
Thanks!
