This mini summer dress pattern is made to measure, ensuring a perfect fit for the wearer. By taking accurate measurements, you can create a dress that fits you like a glove and flatters your figure. The made-to-measure aspect also allows for customization, so you can adjust the dress length or neckline to your preference. With the combination of the perfect fit and colorful confetti cotton yarn, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind dress that you’ll love wearing all summer long.
MATERIALS:
Yarn: Algodon Crudo Natural 100% Cotton or you can use any 8/8 cotton yarn – 400 gr
Crochet Hook: 4,5 mm
Size: S (length – 78 cm / 30 1/2 in, chest -38 cm / 14 in, hips – 48 cm / 18 in), this pattern is made-to-measure, meaning that you make it entirely after your own measurements
Stitches used: sl st – slip stitch, ch – chain, sc – single crochet, dc – double crochet, tc – triple crochet, bptc – back post triple crochet
PATTERN:
Measure the fullest part of your chest, minus 8 and divide by 4 and . For example, my measurement is 88 cm,
88 cm – 8 = 80 cm
80 cm / 4 = 20 cm
1/4 of the upper part of the dress – 20 cm
UPPER PART (from the shoulder to the fullest part of your chest) – 4 details
Row 1: ch-10, dc in the 4th ch from the hook (the first 3 chs counts as a dc), dc in next 6 chs
Row 2-7: ch-3 (counts as a dc), turn, dc in next 7 sts (the number of rows depends on the depth of décolleté)
Row 8: ch-3 (counts as a dc), turn, dc in the 1st st, dc in each dc to the last st, 2 dc in the last st
Repeat Row 8 until you reach the desired width. I crocheted 10 rows – 20 cm width.
BODY PART
Connect the yarn to the 1st stitch of any of 4 details, and crochet a row of dc across the bottom of all 4 details.
Start crocheting in turning rounds:
Round 1: ch-3, (counts as a dc), turn, dc in each dc around, join with sl st to top of ch-3.
Repeat Round 1 until you reach your hips (I crocheted 21 rounds) and start increasing:
Increasing round: ch-3, (counts as a dc), turn, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc **, repeat from * to ** around, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Repeat Round 1 until you reach the desired length. I crocheted 23 rounds
BOTTOM
With cream yarn start crocheting the 1st round. The number of sts is a multiple of 6
Round 1: connect the yarn to any dc, ch-4 (counts as a tc), bptc in each dc around, join with sl st to top of ch-3
Round 2: ch-1, sc in the 1st st, skip next 2 tc, 6 dc in next tc, * skip next 2 tc, sc in next tc, skip next 2 tc, 6 dc in next tc **, repeat from * to ** to around, join with sl st to top of ch-3
ARMHOLES, NECKLINE
Crochet 2 rounds of sc, after that crochet a row of crab stitches with cream yarn
