fabulous ❤ love it !
Wow! I’ve seen blog posts on this beautiful skirt but I’m glad to find your post in English! :)
I love your colors and I love this pattern! Thank you very much!
Thank you :)
I love this pattern, but I can’t seem to find a size or a way to increase it for a larger size. Can you help me out with this?
Thank you!
Make more motifs for your size.
You can only increase or decrease the equivalent of the width of the motifs.
when you are talking about joining the motifs you say “So, you need to join 8 motifs together while crocheting the last round with sl st to ch-1 spaces. ” Are you supposed to slip stitch are the entire motif or just where you are joining it?
Beautiful, but I need the UK-English version of the pattern please. I’m not familiar with the names of the stitches used in this pattern?
Thank you.
Hello Amanda. British vs American crochet terms: http://beautifulcrochetstuff.com/british-vs-american-english-crochet-terms/

You are a wonderful crocheter and your items are so feminine and beautiful. Thank you for sharing and thank you for answering all of the above comments though I cannot believe that so many did nothing but complain. Shame on you Ladies.
Dear Donna. Thank you so much for kind words! :)
I can’t find a 2mm hook. Will a B/2.25mm work?
It will be ok too :)
Hello Jane thank you for such a beautiful pattern, Do you do video tutorials I’d love to make this beautiful skirt I’m just a beginner I’ve only been crochet for a few month Iv learned from video tutorials Iv tried to follow patterns but with out success. And would love to see a tutorial of this skirt please.
You write that each motif is 4×4” or 11×11 cm.
4”x4” is actually 10 x 10 cm. What is the correct width of your motif? Thank you!
YOU have just the pattern I need .Need graph ,but will try without. Your pictures will help. thank you GOD BLESS
What kind of elastic yarn are you using for the waistband and where do get it from?
You can use any elastic thread. You can buy it in your local shop or in the internet.
I did go to my local craft stores and all they had was white or black I’m using a warm tan color. I can’t find any colors online. What brand did you use and where did you purchase yours from?
I love this skirt parttern. I just need a little help how many motifs are there all together. The pattern I know says eight at the top but I don’t see for the bottom set. I am sitting in the hospital with my son and am working on the motifs for the skirt and so maybe I am just not seeing it. Thanks for your help.
Eight motifs for the bottom
Thank you very much for your help Jane.
Cant find the yarn for this skirt. Please help.
Betty
You can use any similar cotton yarn

POR FAVOR QUIERO EL ESQUEMA DONDE LO MIRO MUY LINDA
Hello,
I just received the Aliza Forever Lace yarn and I am eagerly looking forward to crocheting this skirt! Thanks so much for designing such a beautiful, sassy skirt!!
Where did you find the yarn for this skirt?
how can i convert this pattern to a size 18 measurements as this is my birthday outfit
Just make more motifs around your hips, then follow the pattern.
Hi Jane
Would you know what is the equivant yarn to use in the uk. I cant seem to find anything simular to your 2ply lace yarn, I have just bought DMC cotton which is 2ply byt it has no wool in it.
can you advise plese
This pattern is very flexible so you can use any type of yarn you want.
I ordered the yarn from yarnstreet– a company in Latvia. It was super cheap (a little over a dollar per skein) and they took only 2 weeks to ship it all the way to new mexico!
I started the skirt two days ago–wow! this yarn is so tiny!! Anyhow, I made my first square and it doesn’t lie flat– is this normal? Does it need to be blocked to make it flat, or am does that mean my gauge is just too uneven?
Thanks so much for posting this– this is by far the nicest maxi pattern I’ve seen
Wonderful Pattern! I was just wondering how I could modify the pattern to make it smaller?
Just make less motifs and follow the pattern.
I am using knit picks curio, double strands. I just started but have a question. On the motif, you state at the end of round 2 to join with sl st top of ch-4 but then on
Round 3: you say to sl st in ch-3 space
How can I sl st in ch-3 space ? Do I turn my work?
no,just make sl st in next space (ch-3)
Super stupid question… did you sew fabric under the crochet part so it isn’t so “see through”?
It is just a dress :)
Muito linda saia
Hoi Jane
I did my first motif , but it turned bigger dan 11cm its 18cmx18cm with hooknr 2. Only with synth yarn. Is that the ”problem” maybe?
And 1 LOVE you’re skirts !!! So lovely
Greetings Klariska from Nederland
Good day I wonder what the mark of this line and the number please. Grateful for the attention.
Beautiful Maxi and I’m looking for a blouse to compliment the skirt! I’d love the same stitches please
Try to make it: http://shop.beautifulcrochetstuff.com/pineapple-crochet-top-pattern/
Hi Jane! The measurement for the waist says 16 inches, is that right or is it supposed to be 32 inches?
Also just need to know if you have blocked the piece after you finished work
Thanks
I found invisible elastic knit-in thread by Madeira–220 yd/200 m at Nancy’s Notions for $3.99. The only elastic thread I found at my local store was black Gutermann in 10 yd spools and I didn’t like how it looked. I haven’t gotten the thread yet–just ordered it so I can’t tell you how well it works but I ought I’d pass the info on anyway!
Do you turn the piece around after every round, or you just keep going? Not talking about the squares, but the other motif.
Thanks
I didn’t turn it.
Thanks Jane.
which crochet term did you use?
all my patterns are written using standard American crochet terms
Hi Jane thank you I was confused in this (tc)
When you say to add the elastic, Do you mean to run it behind the crochet or to crochet it with the yarn?
You should crochet it with your yarn
I just finished the eight motors but can’t Seem to figure out how to join them..?!
Can anyone please help me🙏
You should put the squares right sides together and join them by slip stitching through the back loops only.
I’m also confused by the ‘add the elastic’. Did I miss a part that says what it is? Also, when you say ‘crochet it with your yarn’ do you mean using both the yarn and the elastic together at the same time?
Thank you! I’m so excited to try this pattern.
You should add the elastic to your yarn and crocheting both.
Hi Jane, beaautiful pattern,
please tell me am I supposed to carry elastic thread throuhout all 6 rounds of waistband?
Yes, you should
Have yarn and hook. Has anyone done a video of it.
Hi could you post a video on you tube from the skirt that shows me how to make it?
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for posting the instructions. I’m inspired to make myself one and will wear it with boots!!!
Thank you :-*
Row 3 of waistband is dc around. Row 4 says skip sc… is there supposed to be a row of sc that was missed?
Round 4 of the motif repeats ch-4, sc in next ch-5, ch-4, sc in next ch-5. at the very end. is this correct? If I ch-4, sc in next ch-5 twice, it does not match the other corners.
Disregard this. I must have done something wrong.. I figured it out
Jane,
What would you charge to make this skirt in a medium US size 8, if I buy all the yarn?
Please pm me in Instagram or email [email protected]
I love this pattern just start the skirt. You don’t perhaps have a video tutorial on YouTube
Thank you
