Hi everyone! Today we will crochet a warm, beautiful and cozy sweater. I used a crisscross shell stitch to create a knitting texture. The pattern is very flexible so you can use any semi-wool or acrylic yarn you have.

MATERIALS:

Yarn: Vivchari Semi-Wool, 50% wool / 50% acrylic / 100 g / 300 m – 600 grams (6 skeins)

#413 (grey) – 3 skeins, #401 -1 skein (pink), #301 – 1 skein (white), #407 – 1 skein (green)

Crochet Hook: 3,5 mm

Gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 4 rapports x 14 rows

Stitches Used: ch – chain, sl st – slip stitch, sc – single crochet, dc – double crochet, shell st – shell stitch (5 dc in the same stitch), dc3tog – 3 dc crocheted together, ccross-st – crisscross stitch (dc in the space after the next sc on your second to the last row, ch-1, dc in the space before the same sc on your second to the last row.

Size: S-XS, length – 46 cm (18 in), width – 45 cm (17 1/2 in), sleeve 48 cm (19 in), elastic band – 6 cm ( 2 1/2 in), you can easily adjust the pattern to any size, please read about it in the “FRONT PART”

PATTERN

NOTE: All the seams are made with a needle and thread

FRONT PART

SIZES: Crochet an example 10×10 cm (see the main pattern), measure the fullest part of your chest and divide this measurement by 2. Count how many rapports you should crochet according to your measurement and the example you made. The number of sts is a multiple of 6+3. I started with 93 chs (45 cm)

Color scheme:

Rows 1-7 – grey, 8-9 – dark green, 10-11 – grey,

12-13 – white, 14-20 – grey, 21-22 – pink, 23-24 -grey,

25-26 – white, 27-28 – pink, 29-30 – grey, 31-32 – dark green,

33-34 – white, 35-36 – green, 37-38 – grey, 39-40 – pink,

41-42 – white, 43-44 – grey, 45-46 – pink, 47-53 grey

If you need to make it longer add more “grey rows” at the beginning.

MAIN PATTERN:

The number of sts is a multiple of 6+3

Row 1: ch-93, 2 dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch, * skip next 2 chs, shell st in next ch, skip next 2 chs, sc in next ch **, rep from * to ** to the last 3 chs, skip next 2 chs, 3 dc in the last ch

Row 2: ch-1, turn sc in the 1st dc, ch-1, dc in the space after the next sc, ch-1, dc in the space before the same sc, * ch-1, sc in the middle dc of next shell st, ch-1, dc in the space after the next sc, ch-1, dc in the space before the same sc **, rep from * to ** to the end of the row, at the end of the row, ch-1, sc in the last dc

@Row 3: ch-1, turn, sc in the 1st sc, shell st in the ch-1 space between 2 ccrossed sts, * ch-1, shell st in the ch-1 space between 2 ccrossed sts **, rep from * to ** to the end of the row, sc in the last sc

Row 4: ch-3, turn, dc in the 1st sc, ch-1, sc in the middle dc of next shell st, ch-1, * ccross st in next sc of the previous row, ch-1, sc in the middle dc of next shell st, ch-1 **, rep from * to ** to the end of the row, 2 dc in the last sc

Row 5: ch-3, turn, 2 dc in the 1st dc, ch-1, * shell st in the ch-1 space between 2 ccrossed sts , ch-1 **rep from * to ** to the end of the row, 3 dc in the last dc

Row 6: ch-1, turn, sc in the 1st dc, ch-1, ccross st in next sc of the previous row,  ch-1, * sc in the middle dc of next shell st, ch-1, ccross st in next sc of the previous row, ch-1 **, rep from * to ** to the end of the row, sc in the last dc

Rep Rows 3-6 until you reach the desired length

Shoulders

Mark the places for the shoulders and repeat the main pattern. I crocheted 10 rows.

Crochet the back part in the same way. Sew them together. Make shoulders and side seams, leaving the armholes for sleeves.

SLEEVES

Measure your armhole and crochet as many rapports as you need according to your measurement. I started with 69 chs (36 cm). Repeat the main pattern and follow the color scheme below to the third white row (30-31 rows). Cut the yarn and turn your work.

Decreasings

Connect the grey yarn to the top of the 1st white shell stitch, ch-1, sc in the same st,  dc in the space after the next sc of the previous row, ch-1, dc in the space before the same sc of the previous row, * ch-1, sc in the middle dc of next shell st, ch-1, dc in the space after the next sc of the previous row, ch-1, dc in the space before the same sc of the previous row **, rep from * to ** to the last shell st, sc in the top of the last shell stitch.

After that repeat the main pattern from the 3rd row. I made 3 decreasings in these places – the 32nd row, the 46th row, the 52nd row. If you want to make the sleeve longer add more “grey rows” in the end of the sleeve.

Rows 1-9 – grey, 10-11 – pink, 12-13 – grey,

14-15 – white, 16-17 – pink, 18-19 – grey, 20-21 – dark green,

22-23 – white, 24-25 – dark green, 26-27 – grey, 28-29 – pink,

30-31 – white, 32-33 – grey, 34-35 – pink, 36-45 – grey,

46-47 – white,48-49 – grey, 50-51 – dark green, 52-60 – grey

NECKLINE

Crochet a row of hdc around the neckline but in the corners work dc3tog to make them more rounded. After that, make one more sc round. Please watch this video for more details.

ELASTIC BAND

Row 1: make a foundation sc row. 13 sc.

Row 2: ch-2 (turning chains), turn your work, hdc into the back loop only of each hdc to the end of the row (13 sc)

Row 3: ch-2 (turning chains), turn your work, hdc into the front-facing loop of each hdc from the previous row to the end of the row (please watch the video tutorial here)

Repeat Row 2-3 until you reach the desired length. You’ll need 2 wrist elastic bands (12 cm), 2 bottom elastic bands (45 cm), 1 neckline band (60 cm). Sew them to the sweater.
