Crocheted lace ponchos are absolutely a trend this season, and sequins are too. So why not combine these two trends together, especially when sequin yarn works perfectly for lace patterns?
I decided to crochet a shawl and pin it with a brooch to create a poncho. Why didn’t I crochet an actual poncho? Because the shawl can be easily transformed into a skirt or a beach cover-up, which I’m definitely going to use in the summer.
I love pineapple patterns, and finally this was a perfect opportunity to use this lace beauty.
I wrote the tutorial in two formats: one with detailed step-by-step photo instructions (17 pages), and a second version written only in words, which is more convenient to print because it is only 3 pages long.
Also, you can use almost any yarn you already have for this lacy project.
