Hi everyone! Today, we will make a granny square crochet dress. This is a dress I have long dreamed about but couldn’t find where to buy it, so I crocheted it myself. In addition, I crocheted three of them. That is why I was gone for a while.

Sides

Connect the pieces according to the schemes and sizes but don’t crochet the full 6th row.

XXL XL S M L

Leave the decreased sides open (don’t crochet the 6th row across this part). Connect the sides in the same way as we joined the squares.

M/XL

When you connect all the pieces to the dress, work a row of sc across “the open” parts of the pieces of the front part of the dress, after join the back part to the front part while you are crocheting a row of sc across the “open” parts of the pieces of the back part. OR you can crochet a row of sc across the “open parts” of the back and the front parts of the dress, after that join the front and the back parts by sl sts.

S, L, XXL

When you connect all the pieces to the dress, connect the back and the front part while you are crocheting the side seam (a row of sc across “the open” parts of the pieces).

Make a row of sc around the armholes, the neckline and the bottom

Make a place for buttons on the front part of the dress: crochet a row of dc and a row of sc. Sew buttons to the dress – 7 (XS,S,M) or 8 (L, XL, XXL) buttons. You can use any buttons you have. I crocheted buttons this way:

Make a magic ring, ch-2, 11 hdc into the circle, join with sl st to top of ch-2

Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve been seeing this dress on Pinterest for the longest time and was so happy to have stumbled upon your site. I’m fairly a beginner in crocheting so I’m still not familiar enough with the lingo so may I ask, what’s no. 3 crochet hook in mm?
Hoping you’d get back to me.
    Happy holidays 😊
